Arbutus Sundeck has creative solutions for creating low property maintenance systems. We replace the fascia boards with pressure treated lumber then wrap it in pre-finished metal flashings, this eliminates the need of painting the fascia every few years. Another low property maintenance detail that we offer is a 66 mil vinyl roofing membrane that has a warranty of fifteen years and a life expectancy of thirty years. For the railings we use aluminum railings with a high performance powder coating, these railings will never rust or corrode and look attractive for decades down the road. When the building has cap flashing we make sure that there is a “self adhesive membrane” under the flashing. When replacing wood siding we always prime the back of the wood and all the cut ends to prevent the paint from blistering and cracking.
